One night an old seaman dreams the ocean into his bed. His sea green sheets become the polluted waters of his worst nightmare. His own mortality is at risk as his household objects begin to suffocate him.

This short film has been screened around the globe with amazing reviews and it has been awarded the Best New Zealand short film of 2015 at the NZIFF, as well as picking up 3 awards including Best Film at the Academy Awards accredited Show Me Shorts Film Festival. The judges comments: “The Tide Keeper is concise, intelligent, beautiful and moving. This film created another world within a world, incorporating an intriguing sense of choreographic movement and the best elements of story-telling and cinema. It is totally original.”

Because of the nature of the film, every single sound element needed to be re-created via foley and sound design.
